Recently, NGC has signed a contract with a famous domestic fan manufacturer regarding 1200 units of 1.5MW FD1660F wind turbine gearboxes, the contract also includes 1000 sets of pitch/yaw gearbox, and 4 units yaw gearboxes and 3 units pitch gearboxes for each set.
These gearboxes are designed according to GL rules for winder generator, and structured as 2-stage planetary+1-stage parallel shaft transmission. They are featured with compactness, strong bearing capability, stable transmission, high reliability and easy to assembly/disassembly, etc. With the mature technology and excellent combination properties, all the performance figures of this type of gearboxes have achieved international advanced level. FD 1660 wind turbine gearbox was awarded as Jiangsu provincial high-tech product in December 2009, and won the second prize of China Machinery Industry Technology and the patent for utility model in the same month.

In the beginning of 2011, the orders for wind turbine gearboxes keep growing. The quantity for the new order of 1.5MW wind turbine gearbox has reached to more than 5000 sets, and the total orderes of them are more than 6000 sets. These orders come from countries, such as China, United States, Europe and India etc. 1.5MW wind turbine gearboxes have been approved by GL, DEWI-OCC and CCS and also won the credit from the customers.
The sustained growth of the orders is born from the first level quality, perfect after sale service and good brand image. NGC has a team of new type talents, and own independent intellectual property for all the gearboxes. The gear strength, accuracy and the heat treatment are carried out according to ISO6336 or DIN3990 standard. The housing is analyzed with ANSYS software so as to ensure the strength and rigidity of the housing. During the designing, the parameters of bearing and gears have been conducted with optimality calculation, together with the gear modification and relief technology, the bearing capability of the gear is enhanced greatly. The advanced manufacturing processes have also been introduced into the production, such as deformation control technology after the carburization and quenching, deep hardening technic, machining accuracy control process of complicate housing, inductive quenching process for ring gear, etc. The production base for the wind turbine gearbox is equipped with more than 300 sets of the top machining equipments, heat treating equipments, inspection machines imported from America, Germany, Japan, Italy, Switzerland and Austria etc. which can ensure the product with good quality. A complete quality control process has been employed into the company management for the QC and traceability. The implementation of LET helps to perfect the process control and detailed the process, and improves the quality continuously. The company has a professional and experienced after sale service team, in China there are 7 directional service teams, 2 service offices and 1 information process center, and in America the company also set up a service company in America, named NGC Transmission Equipment (America), Inc. in order to provide timely and perfect service to the customer.
