On August 28, 2026, NGC held a grand ceremony to celebrate the rollout of its one millionth yaw and pitch gearbox at its 410-mu (approx. 27.3-hectare) manufacturing facility. Themed "One Million Yaw & Pitch Gearboxes — Charting a New Course for the Transmission Triangle", the event gathered clients, partners, VIPs, and NGC employees to witness this pivotal milestone in NGC’s wind power transmission business.

Yaw gearboxes steer the turbine, while pitch gearboxes regulate the blades. Together with the main gearbox, they form the "transmission triangle" that underpins the entire wind turbine. As core components ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation throughout the turbine’s lifecycle, they directly affect wind energy capture efficiency and power generation output, playing an indispensable role in wind turbine systems. After more than two decades of continuous innovation, NGC has progressively upgraded its product line, achieved full domestic production and localization of yaw and pitch gearboxes, and reinforced its industrial manufacturing capabilities—culminating in the outstanding achievement of one million units produced.

Yin Renhua, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of NGC, delivered a speech, addressing the development opportunities of the wind power transmission industry from the strategic perspective of the global energy transition. He reviewed NGC’s long-standing commitment to the wind power sector and expressed heartfelt gratitude to supply-chain partners for their enduring support and to all employees for their unwavering dedication. NGC will closely align with the goals of China’s "15th Five-Year Plan", focusing on core technology breakthroughs for large-megawatt turbines, deep-sea and offshore wind power, and complex operating conditions. Gu Xiaobin, General Manager of NGC, shared insights into the company’s operations and business expansion. He noted that NGC’s domestic delivery of yaw and pitch gearboxes reached a historic high in 2025. Looking ahead to the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, NGC will accelerate product iteration, upgrade the manufacturing system of its planetary gearbox facility, and build an advanced production matrix that combines automation with flexibility. At the same time, NGC will stay on its R&D track of lightweight and modular designs, leveraging its fifth-generation yaw and pitch series to build its core competitive edge. It will actively address industry cost and delivery pressures as well as complex overseas market challenges, to ensure on-time global delivery.

Lou Guiping, Factory Director of the Planetary Gearbox Factory, delivered a speech focused on manufacturing operations. He detailed production-line upgrades, process optimization, lean production, and quality control, outlining the factory's production roadmap for next-generation yaw and pitch products. He reaffirmed the frontline commitment to empowering product iteration through smart manufacturing and delivering highly reliable gearbox solutions to customers worldwide.

The rollout of the one-millionth unit marks both a significant achievement and a fresh starting point.
