TÜV SÜD, an internationally recognized third-party certification organization, has issued an organizational greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) verification statement to NGC Group at the 3rd Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo on Technologies, Products and Achievements on June 6, 2025. The statement recognizes that the Group’s wholly owned subsidiaries – Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd., NGC (Huai'an) High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Nanjing High Speed & Accurate Rail Transportation Equipment Co., Ltd. – conform to the ISO 14064 GHG standards.

Achieving Credible Carbon Reporting and Systematic Verification

As part of its commitment to early green transformation, NGC Group established a dedicated energy and carbon task force. Guided by its energy management principle of "maximizing energy efficiency" and the "credible carbon reporting and systematic verification" standards, the company has laid a solid foundation for formulating and implementing carbon reduction strategies and projects. This initiative aligns with China’s transition from “dual control of energy consumption” system to “dual control of carbon emissions”.

NGC Group has been conducting regular GHG inventory and management activities across its main business units since 2022. These efforts include identifying and accounting for GHG from internal operations, as well as from upstream and downstream supply chains. The company has also been improving the precision and timeliness of internal inventory work to ensure data traceability, consistency in data metrics, and comprehensive coverage. To date, this annual initiative covers five major manufacturing sectors – wind power gearboxes, industrial gearboxes, rail transit gearboxes, robot reducers and new energy vehicle gearboxes.

Themed "Path to Carbon Neutrality", this year’s Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo emphasized driving green transformation through practical application scenarios. The key focus areas included energy transition, low-carbon mobility, energy efficiency, circular economy, and low-carbon services. Multiple forums and activities were held, while case studies and databases were released to foster collaboration in green investment and financing. The expo not only provided a platform for industry exchange and cooperation, but also supported the green transformation of the economy and society. It further showcased the joint efforts of Chinese and foreign companies in promoting low-carbon development.
