Breaking Waves with Courage, Forging Ahead with Unity — The 13th NGC Staff Dragon Boat Race 2025

On the morning of May 17th, the drumbeat of progress resounded across Xuanwu Lake as the 13th NGC Staff Dragon Boat Race 2025 kicked off amid great anticipation. On the shimmering surface of the lake, 23 teams paddled through the waves, writing a magnificent chapter of "Breaking Waves with Courage". Carrying the corporate spirit of "climb up the summit step by step, strive for perfection bit by bit", this cultural event, now in its thirteenth year, continues to thrive through a balance of tradition and innovation. Nearly a thousand employees, family members and other visitors celebrated this festival of NGC members coming together.

A total of 23 teams participated in this year’s dragon boat race. As in previous editions, one department leader from each team was invited to board the boat to cheer on their team members, fostering unity and determination. This was an intensely competitive event. The enthusiasm and skill of each team far surpassed previous editions, achieving the best results in the past three years. For the actual race, a 300-meter straight sprint was adopted. After five intense preliminary heats and three thrilling knockout rounds, the Wind Speed Team from the High-Speed Sub-plant Three were able to turn the tide, winning the championship with an impressive time of 1:37.89. The Voyage Team from the Huai'an Company and the Pioneer Team from the Rail Transit Company were awarded second prize, while the Kunpeng Team from the High-Speed Equipment and Power Company, the Striving Team from the High-Speed Sub-plant One, and the Dragon's Wing Team from High-Speed Sub-plant Two came in third. Meanwhile, the Dragon Soaring Team from the Group Company received the “Most Improved Award”.

They are always forging ahead with the momentum of a dragon boat, using collaborative innovation as the paddle to carve out new means of development and inject powerful energy into the high-quality growth of the enterprise.
