Geared for a Better Future

On the morning of August 31, 2024, the 2nd NGC Staff "Water Carnival" opened to great fanfare at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center Swimming Pool. On the day of the event, the venue was filled with a strong festive atmosphere for the "Water Carnival", with colorful attire and a variety of water facilities catching everyone's attention. Staff members and their families gathered together to cheer on the athletes, immersing themselves in joyful moments filled with happiness and laughter. Chen Chong, Deputy General Manager of Nanjing New Industry Investment Group, was invited to represent the higher-level trade union organization, and was accompanied by representatives from various departments, to watch the morning's competitions, and participated in the afternoon's parent-child activities.

To enhance the innovation and fun of the event compared to the previous edition, the organizing committee had optimized the competition process and introduced new contest and entertaining events. The entire event was compact, orderly, full of competition, and yet not lacking in fun. Everyone present could feel the indomitable spirit of every athlete, as well as being inspired by the unity and collective strength of every team. Every athlete and spectator present enjoyed the unique charm of the water sports events to the fullest.

With the strong support of senior management at all levels of the group, this event received a positive response from the employees of various companies, factories, and departments, with a total of 26 participating teams and nearly 260 staff members taking part in the morning's competitive events. After several intense and thrilling rounds of competition, the following individuals and teams emerged victorious:

- Zhou Daogen from Huai'an Company, Zhang Youjun from High-Speed Factory 1, and Jiang Hongxin from Huai'an Company won the top three places in the Men's 50m Freestyle.

- Li Xiaofang from High-Speed Factory 4, Zhang Xuejiao from High-Speed Technology, and Zou Zhengyin from Rail Transportation Company won the top three places in the Women's 50m Freestyle.

- Zhao Hongshu and Liu Chengcheng from Equipment Department of High-Speed Company, Li Fei and Cao Yinkai from Procurement Department of High-Speed Company, and Yu Chao and Zhu Zhonghua from Quality Department of High-Speed Company won the top three places in the Men's 2x25m Freestyle Relay.

- The High-Precision Standard Container Gear Factory, Team 1 from Huai'an Company, and Rail Transportation won the top three places in the fun competition "Invincible Wind and Fire Wheels."

- Rail Transportation, Team 2 from Huai'an Company, and the High-Precision Heavy-duty Transmission Gear Factory won the top three places in the fun competition "United We Stand."

- The High-Precision Standard Container Gear Factory, High-Precision R&D Control, and High-Speed Factory 3 won the top three places in the fun competition "Lightness on Water."

- The High-Speed Company's Tug-of-War Team 2 won the first prize in the team event "United in Purpose."

During the parent-child activities held in the afternoon, the employees' families also actively participated, sharing this joyful time together. Everyone played and enjoyed themselves in the cool water, forgetting the heat and worries of the outside world. The children's smiling faces were like blooming flowers, adding a touch of brilliant color to the entire event.

This water carnival not only provided a platform for NGC employees and their families to relax and strengthen their relationships, but also further enriched our corporate cultural connotations. Through this event, everyone was able to share in the company's care and warmth, enhancing their sense of belonging and cohesion with the enterprise. It is hoped that this water festival will become a beautiful memory in everyone's hearts, inspiring everyone to contribute to the high-quality development of NGC in the future with even greater enthusiasm and fighting spirit.
