Geared for a Better Future

On the morning of January 6, NGC’s Long-distance Running Event kicked off at the Jinghu factory in Huai’an with a theme of “Ushering in the Development of New District in the New Year”. 25 athletic running teams and six fitness running teams from throughout the NGC group participated in the event, with thousands of employees in total. Everyone ushered in the New Year in the form of long-distance running with peace, happiness and fitness.

In order to allow employees living in Nanjing to arrive at the Huai’an factory safely to participate, the company arranged for 14 buses to depart from Nanjing, carrying more than 520 athletes and staff to the Huai’an factory, which became an eye-catching focal point of the event.

At the opening ceremony, chairman Hu Yeming of NGC Group extended warm greetings to all staff who had worked so hard and selflessly over the past year. He said that The New Year marked a new start and a new journey, and that he hoped all staff could forge ahead with firm determination, confidence and unity to contribute their strength to the high-quality development of NGC. Chairman Hu’s speech brought the warmth of the New Year to all staff present, and infused them with confidence.

The long-distance running event this time consisted of two parts, athletic running and fitness running. The former covered a distance of 5 kilometers, and was divided into the men’s individual, team, and women’s individual events; the fitness running event covered a distance of 1 kilometer. After a period of fierce competition, the top ten team places were taken by the Huai’an Second Production Team, the First Factory Team of Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the Equipment Power Gearbox Team of Nanjing High Speed & Accurate Gear (Group) Co., Ltd., the Third Factory Team of Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the Second Factory Team of Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the Quality Team of Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the R&D and Manufacture Control Team of Nanjing High Speed & Accurate Gear (Group) Co., Ltd., the Standard Gearbox Factory Team of Nanjing High Speed & Accurate Gear (Group) Co., Ltd., the Factory Team of Nanjing High Accurate Marine Equipment Co., Ltd., and the Equipment Power Gearbox Team of Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd.. The top three places in the men’s individual event were taken by Guo Cheng from the PB 45 Factory of Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Shan Xu from the First Factory Team of Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Yuan Xintao from the Equipment Power Gearbox Team of Nanjing High Speed & Accurate Gear (Group) Co., Ltd.. The top three places in the women’s individual event were taken by Li Xiaofang from the PB 45 Factory of Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Xin Ting from the Technology Team of Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Chen Yanqin from the Thermal Treatment Team of Nanjing High Speed & Accurate Gear (Group) Co., Ltd.

At the closing ceremony, NGC’s artistic performance team, full of vigor and vitality, staged a wonderful performance for everyone present. The traditional dragon and lion dance then pushed the event to a climax. Everyone hoped that the enterprise will become stronger in the Year of the Dragon. All staff will forge ahead with courage to open a new chapter for NGC in the New Year.
