On 23 October, over 20 members of China Transmission Photography Club visited Zhaji Old Village in Jingxian County, the famous scenic spot of Southern Anhui Province to take photos of local folk style. In the mountain area of Jingxian County, the car ran on the mountain road like a little boat floating on a green sea. Everything including the mountain, the tea garden, the bamboos, the pines and the farmhouses formed a landscape painting in rich colors. It might be said that the people was traveling in a picture.
As described by an ancient Chinese poet, Zhaji Village is thickly inhabited yet amazingly beautiful, with three streams running through the villages, temple and pavilions under the tower, water flowing beneath a little bridge, apricot flowers in full bloom. It was said that there were 108 ancestral halls, 108 temples and 108 bridges in Zhaji village in old times. The ancient buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasty sat on both banks of Zhaji River. The distant and unique building culture, the natural and elegant landscape gave rise to the unique style of Zhaji. The old buildings here were all built with blue bricks and black tiles, and almost every building is richly ornamented with carved beams and painted rafters, decorated with upturned eaves and cornices. The elegant ancient buildings blend well with surroundings, forming a harmonious landscape. Our photography lovers were deeply attracted by the charming scenes in front of them. They picked up their cameras and took pictures, deeply moved by the charm of Hui Zhou culture of Southern Anhui and the glorious history of China.
At 4:00 in the afternoon, our photography members, brought along with their fruitful results and happy mood, left Zhaji Village. According to the information of China Transmission Photography Club, they will collect excellent works from all the Group staffs and photography lovers in recent days. The detailed forms of the collection and the requirements of works will be noticed soon. The selected works will be exhibited in each subsidiary. They will also be used to make desk calendar for Group staffs.
