Geared for a Better Future

（Opening ceremony）

On 11 June, China Transmission’s dragon boat race began in Mochou Lake Park with a deafening sound of gongs and drums. People gathered from the different departments of subsidaries companies of our Group on the both banks cheered loudly. There were 33 representative teams consisting of 560 players, 150 assisting workers and cheering squad composed of over 1700 employees joined this race.

The president of our Group , Mr. Hu Yueming , was dotting the eyes for the dragon at the opening ceremony of the dragon race, which drove the fever of all the people. At the sound of the starting pistol, the dragon boats ploughed the waves and competed with each other fiercely. After 9 preliminary contests and 4 final contests, the team from the welding plant of Ningkai Company won the champion. The rough machining branch and maching branch of Ningkai company and the Finish machining branch from High Speed and Accurate Company won the second prize. The finish machining branch and assembly branch of Gaote Company, the heat treatment branch and No. 1 branch of High Speed Company, the No. 6 branch of High Speed and Accurate Company, and the team of AO&E won the third prize. The rough machining branch of Gaote Company won the best image prize. The storage department of High Accurate Company won the award for their united spirits. The No. 3 branch and the technology league branch of High Speed Company, Dongalloy Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd and the Group Company won the awards for their excellent organization.

At the prize-awarding ceremony, the ten best singers of China Transmission made a wonderful performance with singing and dancing for the audience. The finale was the large chorus named Our Mother Country Will Never Forget and Under the Brilliant Sunshine performed by China Transmission,which has just won the golden awards in the contest in Yuhuatai District in Nanjing, and also won the champion in the chorus contest organized by Nanjing Electrical Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. This time, they showed their best song to the whole staffs of the Group and won the public acclaim. Which gave voice to the determination and spirit for the people from China Transmission to fight for China’s equipments manufacturing industry rising in the world in the future.

The dragon boat race has been held for three years. It has become one of our cutural activies, also is the business card of China Transmission and a happy festival for every staff of China Transmission. It delivers our enterprise spirit of “climbing up the summit step by step, striving after the perfection bit by bit” to every place in the world. The competetion of our dragon boat will also inspirit us to conquer every difficulty in our way of second venture in the future.
